Next Weeks Post

Happy Wednesday!

Next weeks posts -Is going to be a short article on balanced training in the martial arts.

Following  are a few pictures a took while visiting the Buddhist Temple.

I took a trip to BC. Canada this last weekend and why I was there I was able to go and visit the International Buddhist Temple. If you ever have the opportunity to go visit this place it is a wonderfull experience.

While there I was able to witness the praying and chanting of real Buddhist monks and nuns. As well, worshipers that would enter the temple and pray and make their incense, fruit and flower offerings to the Bodhisttvas. This was a wonderful experience to witness.

This particular Temple in BC  houses the majestic Seven Buddha Mural. At 73 feet long it is the largest Buddhist Mural in the world.

There were a lot of Areas and Statues that you are not permited to take photos of. Some of these Statues are painted in Gold leaf and stand 35 ft tall!!

This picture above has the Compassionate Thousand hands thousand eyes Avalokit'svara Buddisattva. This particular Buddha answers prayers and lends a helping hand of all those in need. This was one such Buddha that pictures where not allowed. So I tried to capture it as I walked down the stairs from the main hall. It is something like 8 ft wide and extends well above the eves of that building.

They have a wonderful website that even has a guided virtual tour -

www.buddhisttemple.ca

Happy Thanksgiving and remember to be MINDFULL when you are eating.
